Smart meter penetration in North America will reach 50 percent by 2016
According to new a research report from the analyst firm Berg Insight, the installed base of smart electricity meters in North America will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 22.5 percent between 2010 and 2016 to reach 87.4 million at the end of the period. According to a new research report by Berg Insight, the number of new smart home installations worldwide was 0.44 million in 2010.
