Global smart grid spend reached $13.9bn in 2012
Utility spending globally on smart grid technologies reached $13.9 billion in 2012, up 7 percent on the previous year, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Further, the company expects just over 10 percent compound annual growth for the next five years, nearly doubling the market to $25.2billion per annum by 2018. Berg Insight says 2.8 million patients are remotely monitored today
According to a new research report from the analyst firm Berg Insight, around 2.8 million patients worldwide were using a home monitoring service based on equipment with integrated connectivity at the end of 2012.
