Encore Networks, a leader in M2M solutions for fixed and wireless communications, announced today the launch of an ultra-low cost wireless VPN router, the EN-2000™. This newest addition to the EN 4G LTE family of routers is designed for high-availability M2M applications in fixed or portable locations supporting Business Continuity, Video Surveillance, Digital Signage and Remote Access on both the Public or Private Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.

Peter Madsen, President of Encore Networks, said:

“The global M2M market is expanding at a rapid pace with no end in sight. As the rate of adoption for M2M technologies grow exponentially I anticipate Encore will keep pace as a majority of these connections will require low cost, low power, high performance routers.”

EN-2000 4G M2M routerThe ‘cloud ready’ EN-2000™ wireless router utilizes the Quanta LTE only module to leverage the advantages of Verizon’s high speed 4G LTE to drive applications at significantly lower costs to the end user. Enterprise customers can use 4G LTE as a primary or back-up connection, eliminating the high costs of traditional wired networks and associated challenges including install times and outages. The LTE only embedded module consumes less power than traditional dual radio 4G/3G modules which can cost up to three times more.

All Encore wireless routers move data through a public or private IP cellular infrastructure removing the dependence on copper lines while providing VPN technology. The Encore equipment provides license free Enterprise Class IP, VPN, Firewall, Routing and IP interworking features.

The EN-2000™ comes with a three year warranty and is available at a list price of $285. Discounts are available to Dealers, Distributors and Resellers. Contact Encore for additional carrier network support and future WiFi availability.

The EN-2000™ will be launched at the M2M Evolution Conference and Expo being held at the Rio in Las Vegas on August 13-14.
