FreeMove, the mobile telecommunications alliance between Deutsche Telekom Group, France Telecom Orange, TeliaSonera and Telecom Italia, today announces that Veolia Transdev and Veolia Environnement (Veolia) has chosen to partner with the alliance to provide mobile services across their Benelux operations.
As the world leader in environmental services (waste, water, energy and transport) with operations on every continent and over 300,000 employees, Veolia needed a company that could deliver seamless, cross boarder voice and data communications across their portfolio of offerings. In June 2012 Veolia signed a three year agreement with FreeMove to provide unified mobile communications throughout the Benelux region for companies including Connexxion, Dalkia, Veolia Transport NL, Veolia Transport BE, Aquiris, Biothane, Rossmark, Sodraep, Sede, Veolia Water NL, Veolia Water BE.
The agreement means that FreeMove will provide Veolia with high quality voice and data communications and sophisticated M2M data transfer services. The connectivity will enable seamless data migration between networks in order to empower critical business services such as payment systems, public transport networks (for example: buses, rail and ambulance services) and the monitoring of air, water and heat quality. The agreement will also include central governance to handle day-to-day operations, as well as the harmonisation of mobiles and pricing across the Benelux countries with simplicity, efficiency and transparency.
